Game start
Unlike in alpha version, In the beta demo players don’t get dropped straight in to the city, but instead they spawn in a closed area close to the city. Before, the shop area was represented on the minimap and that was the only way of knowing whether you could make a purchase or not, by standing in this area. But now thanks to the FPS content, there is a vending machine representing the shop from which you can do all your purchases. Each spawn area has one and there are also two on the map. The spawn area also features two texts explaining commands and an info regarding a shield each player gets as soon as they go thru a teleport. And going thru a teleport is how players enter the city.
Another change is the starting weapon. Before it used to be a knife, but now its an axe that can be changed because the melee starting weapon exists in its own melee class, also purchasable in the shop.
With melee another weapon class is added, grenade launchers. It may seem as an overkill to have this weapon class in game, but their strength is something like a sniper, and the projectile moves rather slow so it can be avoided. After a purchase you can see the adding ammo button for the weapons you have and also the options to buy armor and grenades.
