Target City – Hotzone: The Battle for Control

Prepare for a whole new way to experience the intense combat of Target City. Our latest game mode, Hotzone, puts a strategic twist on the urban warfare you know and love.

The Mission

Your objective is straightforward but demanding: secure a critical zone within the central building and hold it against all comers. Every second you control the Hotzone drains points from the enemy team. The team with the most points at the end of the match takes the victory.

Danger Patrols the Streets

The city streets are now patrolled by armed Enforcer squads. Take them down to earn valuable coins, which you can spend at the buy stations to upgrade your arsenal and gain a crucial advantage.

Master the Urban Fortress

The closed city center offers a unique and intense combat environment. The central building, with its office floors, balconies, and garage, is where the real battle will be won or lost. Learn the callouts, exploit the cover, and control the chokepoints to outmaneuver your enemies and secure the Hotzone.

Verticality is Key

Don’t underestimate the power of height. The rooftop and balconies offer commanding views and potential ambush spots. But the garage and lower floors have their own secrets and advantages. Mastering the verticality of this map will be crucial to success.

Target City Hotzone -BETA-

Experience the next evolution of the Target City universe with a thrilling new game mode currently in development! Battle it out on a smaller, high-intensity map where teams fight to dominate a key control zone. Hold the area to drain enemy points and secure victory, but beware—the task won’t be easy. Enforcers now guard the building, adding a layer of challenge and strategy to the fight.

The game is located on OneDrive, it is some 7gb large in a .zip format.

  • First download the game by clicking the Download button
  • Google will tell you the file is too large to be scanned for viruses and ask if you want to download anyway, click “download anyway”
  • Go in to the location where you downloaded the game and use any program you have to extract/unzip the file
  • Once unzipped enter the file and by double clicking icon .exe the game will start, no installation required

Once you start a game you will get prompted by windows firewall to allow features of the game, since it is Peer to Peer you will have to allow it in order to play. Don’t forget the first time you start the game and before you play to set your Nickname in the preferences tab. The game is built ONLY FOR WINDOWS, and hardware requirements…well it worked fine on i3 9th gen with 1060 ti…anything below that, not tested.

For now, there are 2 major bugs that just couldn’t be fixed due to budget shortage.

  • Sometimes when you respawn you will end up with someone else’s weapons, but with the Sell option in you inventory you can get rid of those and buy your guns
  • Sometimes the Clear Presence button will fail and you won’t be able to see games on the list. Exit and start the game again, this fixes that issue
Since the game is still in development, the version of the game will be in the name of the game, at the time of updating this page it was TCHotzone-v0.02.25, where the numbers at the end represent the current date – February 2025.
